About Me

By education, I am an economist and an engineer... But ever since I was a child I've always been fascinated with art. My parents will tell you that the writing was on the wall! Literally, in crayons!

I stumbled into computer graphics by accident. My grades in economics were so low; the dean will not allow me to graduate unless I raise my GPA to at least a 2.0!!! In order to do so, he allowed me to take several classes that I would ace just to raise my overall GPA. So I decided to take art. Art came natural to me and I excelled. On one of the field trips, we visited a company who used a GE NASA flight simulator modified to do slide presentations. The equipment was impressive. It looked like it came out of a James Bond movie. And the moment I saw this piece of work, I heard my calling. At that time this equipment cost nearly a million dollars with a software capability a little less than Adobe Illustrator 1.0!!!! But that was enough to get me so excited I built a career around it and followed it through. Soon the personal PCs came.... and the rest is history.
